A Singer with "The Barons" in 1961-62 Left to Right: Rick Oeder - Bass Guitar; Matt Devitt - Saxophone; Roy Galatas - Lead Guitar; Glenn Faciane - Vocal and Rhythm Guitar; Me - Singer; (Unknown); Ron Usner - Drums. (Not Shown) Carlie Hickman - Trumpet; Phil Aviles - Trumpet. The 60s was an era of great music, especially in South Louisiana! The Barons, a super group of guys, was the first band with which I had ever sung. I was a 15 year old sophomore. My signature song with them was the Doo Wop "Maybe" by The Chantels! |
